Abstract

This film describes the other side of the Tokyo Olympics 1964, from the point of view of logistics and transportation. Numerous items, including the horses for the horse riding and racer yachts, were mobilized and transported by Nippon Express Co., Ltd., under which many personnel worked, and various types of equipment were utilized.

Highlights

The description of the scenes of The National Stadium in Tokyo, indoor swimming pool in Yoyogi, racer yachts, boats, horses, and numerous items for Tokyo Olympic mobilized and transported by Nippon Express. The scenes of athletes visiting Tokyo, athletes’ village, practices of athletes, opening ceremony, including the scene of transporting pigeons were also filmed. Scenes of transporting items for press staff, preparation for marathon course, closing ceremony, the athletes returning to their home countries were also described.
