With a focus on the lactobacillus that lives in the human gut and regulates intestinal functions, this film fully utilizes microscopic time-lapse photography to investigate the relationship between lactobacillus and harmful bacteria and intestinal cells. The scientists succeeded in their attempt to protect intestinal health by sending artificially selected lactobacillus strain Shirota into the intestine.
